Efforts for Capacity building of Community based Organization (ECCO) Project

The Efforts for Capacity Building of Community-Based Organizations (ECCO) Project is a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the operational, managerial, and technical capacities of local community-based organizations (CBOs). By empowering these grassroots groups, the project aims to enhance their ability to deliver sustainable development solutions, advocate for community needs, and foster inclusive growth.

Objectives:

– Strengthen governance, leadership, and organizational management of CBOs.

– Improve technical skills in project planning, monitoring, and financial management.

– Enhance advocacy and networking capabilities for better resource mobilization.

– Promote gender equality and social inclusion within CBO structures.

Key Activities:

1. Training & Workshops– Capacity-building sessions on leadership, financial literacy, and participatory development approaches.

2. Mentorship & Coaching– Ongoing support for CBOs to implement best practices in community engagement.

3. Resource Development– Provision of toolkits, guides, and digital tools to improve organizational efficiency.

4. Networking & Partnerships– Facilitation of linkages with government, NGOs, and donors for collaborative opportunities.

Target Beneficiaries:

– Stronger advocacy for marginalized groups and local priorities.

Implementation Approach:

ECCO adopts a participatory methodology, engaging CBOs in needs assessments and tailored training programs. Partnerships with local governments and civil society ensure relevance and scalability.

Impact:

By equipping CBOs with essential skills and resources, the ECCO Project fosters self-reliant, empowered communities capable of driving long-term social and economic change.
