The “Let Her Decide and Participate” (LHDP) project, funded by Oxfam and implemented by Efforts for Rural Advancement (ERA) in Derai Upazila of Sunamganj district, was a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women to actively participate in decision-making processes within their families and communities. Recognizing the deep-rooted gender inequalities and societal norms that often marginalize women, the project focused on enhancing women’s leadership capacities through comprehensive training programs, community engagement, and awareness campaigns. By fostering an environment that supports women’s rights and leadership, LHDP contributed to building more inclusive and equitable communities in the region.
